How does it work

Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a group of medications called Diuretics also known as “water pills”. It helps remove salt and water from your body. This decreases the amount of fluid flowing through your blood vessels. Your blood pressure will go down because the heart pumps less blood through your blood vessels.

How to use it

This medication comes as a tablet. You should put it in your mouth and swallow it with a glass of water.

What to do if you are pregnant

Tell your physician if you become pregnant. There are not enough studies about this medication in pregnant women. Use the medication during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
